How long does tenting last?
My husband and I bought our house two years ago and it was tented before escrow closed. Does anyone know how long we have until it needs to be tented again or does it just depend on the severity of termites in the area? I found a very small hole high up on one of our walls that looks very suspiciously of termites... are there any short term fixes?
OK ,first, tenting is only necessary when there is evidence of serious problems. Unless there has been such evidence (bugs crawling across the floor, etc...), don't worry about tenting.
The hole, that is a different story. I'd need to see exactly what the hole looks like to proceed with a remedy. Are there any live termites around the hole? It's likely from the past and won't get worse. Needs to be fixed though to prevent other critters from getting in. Post pictures if you can.
